End the Year Intentionally with Cait Flanders

Sunday, Nov 17th at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK

A cozy 2-hour journalling session where you will reflect on 2024 and think about how you want to close out the year, while in the virtual company of others.

With the guidance of prompts, you’ll leave our session with a little time capsule of your year, a sense of what feels true for you right now, and ideas for what you might want to do (or not do!) before the year is over. (Personally: I’m hoping I can let go of some things…)

This session would be a good fit for anyone who is feeling a bit disorganized, and is craving some time and space to reflect and prioritize before the holiday season.

When you register, you will get access to:

  • the 2-hour live session on November 17th

  • a video replay for 60 days after, and

  • a PDF workbook with all of the prompts we go through.

***REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED***

What’s Included?

  • 2 Hours Together Online

On Sunday, November 17th, you will be invited to join the group for a 2-hour guided journalling session on Zoom. We will go through one set of prompts in the first 55 minutes, take a 5-minute break, then get back into our journals for another hour.

  • All New Prompts

I’ve hosted something similar to this in the past, but those prompts don’t feel quite right in this season. So, we’ll be exploring all new prompts together. In the first hour, we’ll reflect on 2024. And in the second hour, we’ll think about how we might want to end the year intentionally.

  • "You" Time (with Others)

I know it’s not always easy to carve out time for ourselves—especially to sit in reflection and do some planning. I’m here to hold that space for you, and to create an environment that inspires calm + stillness, so you can be present with your thoughts.

  • Shame-Free Environment

The session will largely be held in silence, with a few opportunities to share (on a volunteer-basis). As a member of our community, you can trust this is a shame-free environment, with no right or wrong answers. As a group, we know journalling is an exploration, not an examination.

  • Deepen Your Practice

My intention with any journalling session is to share prompts that might help you be more honest + get to know yourself in new ways. Whether you are new to journalling, or seasoned in the art of self-reflection, I hope you discover something interesting.

  • Replay + PDF Workbook

After the session, you will receive an email with a link to the replay (available for 60 days), PLUS: a PDF workbook with all of the prompts. Both options give you an opportunity to go through the questions on your own time, and in your own way, if you cannot join us live.

What Past Participants Have Said…

“The journalling sessions were just what I needed to slow me down and make me dive deeper. I am a regular ‘journalist,’ but the prompts Cait provided were thought provoking and took me on a path I generally don't wander down. The journey was lovely! This workshop was one I looked forward to every week, and miss now that it's over. I can't wait for the next opportunity to do it again.”

“Being given prompts to assist with journalling has been incredibly helpful and made me ask questions I would never have asked. Having a live person doing it made me stick with it as I felt an obligation to be there in all ways. I also shared the prompts with my husband at a later point during the week and it gave us interesting discussion.”

“I found the journalling sessions a really great time to disconnect from the outside world and focus on the prompts and how I was feeling. It was a really calm and nurturing environment where I felt supported to really think about what the prompt was asking me. I found themes coming out as the weeks went on, and I've made some changes in my life as I realized what I need right now.”

Questions & Answers

How much is this session?

The price of this session is £22! The approx. exchange rate = $28 USD, $39 CAD, €26.

What happens after I register?

On Friday, November 15, 2024, I will send you an email with instructions on how to join the session (the Zoom link + password). When it’s time for the session to begin on Sunday, you can simply click on the Zoom link and you’ll automatically join the group! (Note: I will send the instructions to whichever email address you use to register.)

When is the session?

We will be meeting on Zoom on Sunday, November 17, 2024 @ 8am PT/11am ET/4pm UK.

The session will last for 2 hours and end at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK.

What do I need to “bring” to the session?

Anything that will help you feel most supported during our time together! For the writing itself, you might use a physical journal with pen/pencil, or type directly into a word/notes document on your computer/tablet/phone. You might also want to have a beverage with you, and maybe even a comfort item or two (blanket, pillow, etc.). Personally, I like to light a candle when I journal. :)

Do I have to talk and/or turn on my camera?

No and no! When you first join the Zoom meeting, your video will be turned off + you will be muted. If you’re comfortable turning video on, it does add to the “community” feel of the experience, and could help others feel more comfortable too. But everyone (except for me) will stay muted throughout the session, other than if you want to share when I open up the space.

The price is in British pounds. Can I join/pay if I’m outside of the UK?

Yes, this is open to anyone who wants to join us! I’ve listed approximate exchange rates (for US dollars, Canadian dollars, and Euros), so you have an idea of how much it might cost you to register. (I’m only sorry that I can’t pick times that work for everyone around the world to join live, but the replay/workbook may still feel like a nice option!)

What happens if I can’t attend?

Life happens! If you can’t make it, remember that I will send you an email after the session with a link to the replay (available for 60 days) + a PDF workbook of all the prompts we went through together. Both options should give you an opportunity to go through the questions on your own time, and in your own way, if you cannot join us live.
