A Simple Update

A Simple Update

Hi friends! There are a handful of things I want to share with you today, so I thought I’d have some fun and attempt to write exactly 100 words about each thing. Here we go :)

1. A Simple Year is Back Open for Registration

For the first time in four years, A Simple Year is open for registration again mid-year! We’ve had so many requests from people who don’t want to wait until 2017 to simplify their lives, so here’s your chance to join us. Registration is open from June 9th to June 23rd, and you’ll have immediate access to the first six months of content, the private Facebook group, live and recorded webinars, and everything else you need to get started. I’ll be guiding you through the topic of simplifying your money in July, and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

2. If You’ve Done a Shopping Ban, I Need Your Help!

As you might know, I’m just 28 days away from finishing my two-year shopping ban! And if you have also started a shopping ban (of any length of time) in the last year, I need your help in these final days! I want to create another infographic to show how far the idea has reached and what you learned from it, so I created a short survey for you to take. I’ll collect results for two weeks (takes us to June 23rd) and turn it into a new infographic that I will publish on July 6th. Thanks for your help!

Must See: Minimalism the Documentary
3. You Must See the Documentary Minimalism

Last night, I went to a screening of the documentary Minimalism in Victoria with some friends, and I was blown away by some of the content in it. I thought the film did an excellent job of showing what the core message of minimalism is – to only bring things into your life that add value – but many of the interviews and stories shared went beyond that message and gave me so much more to think about. If the topic of minimalism interests you in any way, and you have a chance to see the film, I would highly recommend it!

4. Join Me at Joshua Becker’s Book Tour Stop in Victoria

And finally, Joshua Becker’s West Coast Book Tour starts next week, and his last stop is in Victoria on June 28th. Joshua will be celebrating his new book, The More of Less, as well as continuing to spread the good word about all the positive benefits of embracing a life with less stuff – and I’ll be there, along with my friend Mike Vardy from Productivityist! I’m so excited to connect with like-minded people in Victoria, and can’t wait to see where the conversation goes after the reading and Q&A session. You can RSVP for free. Hope to see you there!

I agree; I thought the Minimalism documentary was so good! I think everyone needs to see it :)

Please tell me that Canada’s better than the US in terms of consumption! I can’t wait to see this movie. Can you lobby for a little Phoenix love?

Heading out in the morning for 104 miles in 6 days with a 17lb backpack. You can bet that everything in there is essential.
