June 2012 Budget & Goals

june 2012 budget

So… this month is going to be intense. Honestly, I’ve already had two meltdowns, just thinking about it. I’m only writing this budget out as a template, as I really don’t know where the month will take me… but this will have to do, for now.

I’m going to double my normal Emergency Fund contributions, as well as set aside some cash for Colorado. I’m actually expecting my groceries to be less than this and my restaurant amount to go up, but I guess we’ll see what happens there.

Entertainment gets another big chunk of this month’s budget, as I have a few birthdays to celebrate, as well as Baby Sis’ grad + hopefully a sendoff for my own departure. Other than that, everything looks pretty normal. That is, except for my schedule!

Last weekend, I constructed a life size calendar on my dining room wall. On it are all of my homework deadlines, writing deadlines, promises of guests posts, etc. as well as anything fun I already have booked. I’m expecting this to be the craziest four weeks of my life, which is why I made my goals fairly simple.

Goals for this month:

  • Continue counting calories on Lose It!
  • Workout 5x per week (and try to squeeze hot yoga in, at least once)
  • Finish my BA in Communications
  • Read the books on the Bold Academy reading list
  • Fundraise, fundraise, fundraise and book my flight and go!

What do you have planned for this month? :)

This month I have to increase my gift budget too! I have 3 presents to buy. I’m thinking $150 even though that will really suck. Plus I have a plane ticket to purchase. Its going to be a tad difficult for me… we shall see what happens!

Pace yourself so you don’t get overwhelmed. Good luck with your June goals!

Good luck and just remember to pace yourself and stop to breath! I’m thinking positive (and bold) thoughts for you!

Just take it one task at a time. Good luck!

Good luck C! This month I have to get a cavity refilled ($160, boo) and we are going up to Seattle to visit a friend for a weekend. I budgeted $250 so hopefully we don’t exceed that amount…

Those are the only two out of the ordinary things for us!

You can do all of this, Cait. Look at how far you have come!

Whew – go you! I love the idea of a giant wall calendar, it should definitely help keep you on track.

I don’t have much planned for June, and that’s just the way I like it :)

    You’re doing well.
I never had a car and lots of my friends when we were at university (in late 1970’s-early 1980’s) didn’t either. We were going to university in London, ON.

    Transit, walk.

I returned to biking and have been at it since the last 20 yrs. Here’s how much money you can save:http://thirdwavecyclingblog.wordpress.com/2011/06/08/30-car-free-years-cycling-pumps-money-into-my-wallet/

I gave up my license (in my 20’s) since I didn’t feel comfortable driving on highways.
